The Next Yoga Retreat Begins August 27th-September 4th in Portugal


This retreat offers the complete Yoga for the Mind course in a beautiful an luxurious setting in the Austria countryside.  Each morning you will wake up overlooking the Austrian Mountains and will begin yoga practice as the sun rises over the hills. 

While your nervous system absorbs the benefits of yoga therapy practice and breath work you can bask in bucolic landscape while wonderful organic breakfast.


 

WHEN: August 27th-September 4th

This course is appropriate for anyone wishing to completely immerse themselves in the Yoga for the Mind for mental health.



WHAT TO EXPECT:

You will be guided through the entire 8 step Yoga for the Mind Program.  For more information on the program please look on the courses page.


 Wellness Skills that you will learn:

1) Breath awareness, breath practices and techniques to alter mood in the short and long-term

2) Yoga Postures that influence body chemistry and nervous system in positive ways.

3) Mindfulness activities that assist in self-understanding, to help you both undo and understand your emotional patterning.

4) Strategies for daily living to work through difficult feelings and experiences.

5) Nutritional advice to balance blood sugar and mood.

6) Daily activities such as chanting and yoga nidra to nurture increased well-being.

7) Informative talks that explain how the nervous system works and how to use yoga and breath to    restore internal equilibrium, whether you are stressed, suffering from anxiety, or depression. 

8) You will also receive individual attention for your personal mental health needs, with an opportunity for private time with Heather Mason.

 

THE SCHEDULE

7.30-9:30am Yoga for the Mind Practise

10:00 Breakfast

11:00-12:00 Mindfulness Activity

12:30-1:30 Lunch (Followed by free time)

3:00-5:30 Yoga for the Mind Practise

6:30-7:30 Dinner

8:00-900 Evening Talk and Activity

 

During the day you will have some free time to:

-Go on nature walks

-Take a boat trip on the Soami Boat (one of the days)

-Visit the quaint village nearby

-Book a massage

-Relax in the sauna

-Go Hiking

-Or just plain lounge about!!!
